New layout

I needed a new layout. I went with the most basic one blogger had. They've done a lot of good stuff to help you lay tings out, similar to google home. I'll see how I like it in a few days.

I have to go watch LOST now.

tagging blog posts

So that's how you tag stuff in blogger. You use a label. So clear now.

Sorry for the long time since my last post. Been busy at getting stuff done while alternating in equal amounts with putting off doing anything. The second one involved beer.

Anyhoo... I was cleaning up my old Northeastern web page (I'm going to clean that up and make it a bit more professional) and I found the following random images:

#1. Molly, my old roommate

#2. Jack Black

#3. News about Uranus

That's right, pictures. You'd better watch your ass, muted.

address book update

I bought a new phone last week. The super glue was no longer holding on the antenna on my old one. This one is nice in that it has bluetooth, so I could sync it with my computer. If only I had the address book on my computer up to date...

I ended up exporting my address book from gmail, which was a mess. I could then import this into OS X's "Address Book" application. All I had to do then was a hell of a lot of cleanup; time consuming, but not altogether difficult. After adding phone numbers from my old phone to this, I downloaded and ran a handy little application called AddressBookToCSV which exported my address book to a comma-separated value file for importing back into gmail. This went off without a hitch.

Well, ok, there was a hitch or two. Gmail and my phone don't store contacts exactly the same way that address book does, so I end up with multiple entries for the same person if they have multiple email addresses (gmail) or phone numbers (phone). Not a huge problem, and easy enough to [not] deal with.

This also means I have up to date contact information, which means it shouldn't be hard to keep it that way. It's all maintenance from here on out. Sweet.

setup

I have subversion setup on the ubuntu box, and my files from my mac (and ubuntu) in source control, and it seems to be working pretty damn good. That's a huge goal done.

late night

LOST returns to television tonight. At 10pm. The problem with convoluted plot lines is that you can't get new viewers; no one can just jump into this show and have any idea what the heck is going on. And the hardcore viewers can't not watch, so the time slot gets pushed back.

I'm falling asleep already. I may need a nap this evening. Or a torrent tomorrow. Whatever.

Refuse to be Terrorized

I'll put up links on the ridiculousness of the mooninite attack later.
